10″ x 5″ x 3-7/8″ – Fantastic example formerly of the James Cason Estate Collection. This piece was found near Cane Valley in Russell Co., Kentucky. Inscription suggests this piece may be pictured in a Central States Journal – however the year and issue is obscured/faded. Weighing in at a hefty 11 pounds, 1 ounce, the piece is made from a yellow/brown quartzite material. This was the centerpiece of Mr. Cason’s Axe collection of many years until his passing.
