Incredible virtually intact example from Bath Co., Kentucky collected prior to 1970. A mix of grit and shell tempering. Pots this large are generally very fragmentary and have more than 80% restoration from many small pieces. This one has a little restoration to the rim, and one repaired hole on the side, otherwise this piece is virtually 100% intact! So much so we believe it to be the largest intact pot from the State of Kentucky. Formerly of the Dr. Joe Daugherty Collection of Lexington, Kentucky. Simply incredible!
